How to clean and store the blender sponge

The blender sponge is easy to wash , with warm water and unscented neutral soap, and should be left to air dry after use to prevent the growth of bacteria or mold.

Our advice

➤ The blender sponge should always be used wet (unless you are using it to blend a poorly applied product, in which case you should keep it dry), so that its texture is soft and the product to be applied remains on the surface.
To do this, run the sponge under water until it is saturated (it will almost double in volume), then wring it out completely without twisting it , so that it is just damp.
➤ If your makeup session lasts and the sponge starts to dry out, you can rehydrate it with a spray bottle .
➤ Depending on the product used , dip the sponge directly into the case (compact products), use the back of your hand as a palette (liquid products) or blend the product previously applied to your face (sticks).
➤ It is used by tapping , bouncing and rolling it gently on the skin, for a perfect blended effect (avoid rubbing, to avoid getting marks).
➤ Use the tip for the eye contour and any areas that require precision, pressing a little harder.
➤ The sponge should ideally be washed after each use, at least twice a week , for good longevity.
➤ It must be allowed to air dry , never locked in a case, box or cupboard.
➤ It is recommended to change the sponge every three months , if used daily.
➤ When handling the sponge, be careful not to pierce or tear it with your nails .
